About
Why Family Observatory exists.
A simple idea: families rarely fail the people they love because they stopped caring. They fail because nobody has the whole picture, and the things that matter get left to whoever happens to remember.

The problem we kept seeing
Millions of older adults live alone and want to keep it that way. Their families love them and worry about them. The daily "are you okay?" call can start to feel like checking up, and silence can turn a normal day into an anxious one. The tools meant to help often overcorrect, with cameras, sensors, and monitoring that trade away privacy and dignity.
What we're building
Family Observatory is a simple family coordination service. Your parent answers a friendly prompt with one tap. The family sees the answer in one shared place. When a request is missed, the people you chose are notified. That's it, on purpose.
What we believe
- Dignity first. Older adults are competent adults. We design for respect, not for control.
- Simplicity is a feature. If it needs explaining, it isn't done.
- Honesty over hype. We only claim what the product actually does.
- Privacy by design. No cameras, no tracking, no selling data.
Who's behind it
Family Observatory is built and operated by Digilu. We're in early access and building carefully, and we'd rather be clear about what's ready than overpromise. If a capability isn't live yet, we won't claim it is.
In plain terms
Family Observatory is a coordination service. It is not a medical or emergency service, and it doesn't replace professional care or a call to 911.
